The rustle of wind through ancient oak and ash mingles with birdsong across this tranquil Mid Wales site, where mist often settles in the valley below at dawn. Tucked into the rolling Powys countryside, Cherry Tree Lodges offers that rare commodity: genuine peace, far from main roads yet accessible to the region's market towns and the dramatic peaks of the Cambrian Mountains.
Families seeking a proper digital detox and couples craving quiet will find their rhythm here. The site welcomes tents, campervans, and caravans year-round, making it a solid base for exploring Mid Wales in any season—from summer wild swimming in nearby rivers to crisp winter walks through forestry trails and along reservoir paths.
Facilities keep things straightforward with toilets and showers provided. Campfires may be permitted, though you'll need to check the current policy on arrival. The overall feel is refreshingly low-key and unfussy: a place where you pitch up, breathe deeply, and let the Welsh landscape work its restorative magic without distraction.
