South West Coast Path (Section 39: Salcombe to Torcross)
Follows dramatic clifftops and secluded coves between two South Devon villages, with steep ascents and descents throughout – definitely not suitable for buggies or very young children. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock. Terrain is challenging but rewarding, offering stunning views across Start Bay, passing through wooded valleys and alongside sandy beaches. Worth it for the varied coastal scenery and the chance to spot seabirds and, occasionally, dolphins offshore.
