Inishowen Head Loop

Follows rugged clifftop paths around Ireland's most northerly point with moderate, sometimes steep inclines over grassy and rocky terrain. Not suitable for buggies or very young children due to uneven ground and exposed cliff edges, but older kids who are steady on their feet will love the drama. Dogs welcome on leads. Delivers spectacular Atlantic views, crashing waves below, and that genuine end-of-the-world feeling that makes windswept coastal Ireland so memorable.

Causeway Coast and Glens - 14 - Binevenagh

Climbs steadily up Binevenagh Mountain with some steep sections near the summit, rewarding effort with sweeping views across Lough Foyle and the north coast. Not suitable for buggies; older children who can handle sustained uphill walking will manage fine. Dogs welcome on leads. The dramatic cliff-edge plateau and sense of wild, open moorland make this a proper Causeway Coast highlight.

Lion's Gate Walking Trail, Downhill

Descends gently through National Trust woodland with well-maintained paths suitable for families and sturdy buggies. Dogs welcome on leads. The 1.6km route offers peaceful tree-canopy walking and likely connects key points around the estate, making it ideal for a short leg-stretch with kids or as part of a longer ramble exploring the wider grounds.
