This is a working farm site in the heart of Mid Wales, suited to campers who don't need bells and whistles — tents, campervans, and caravans all welcome. It's a good base for walkers tackling the peaks or cyclists exploring the Taff Trail, and the kind of place where you're surrounded by proper countryside rather than manicured parkland. Powys does quiet farmland exceptionally well, and Cantref sits right in that tradition.

Facilities are straightforward — toilets and showers onsite — and you'll want to check the campfire policy when you arrive, as it may depend on conditions or pitch location. Expect a low-key, rural feel without lots of extras, the sort of spot where the landscape does the heavy lifting and you're left to get on with your trip in peace.
