The Usk Valley unfolds below you here, morning mist caught in the river bends and the Black Mountains rising dark to the north.

This is a working farm site where tent campers, caravanners and motorhomers spread out across the fields, dogs usually welcome though worth checking when you book. You're deep in Monmouthshire's quieter eastern reaches — Abergavenny and the Brecon Beacons within striking distance, the Wye Valley's wooded gorges and castle ruins not far south. Walkers have Offa's Dyke and the Usk Valley Walk on the doorstep, and the market town hum of Usk itself is close enough for supplies.

Facilities are straightforward — clean showers and toilets — and the campfire policy gets sorted when you arrive, so ask if you're planning to bring the firepit. It's a no-frills, farm-quiet sort of place where the silence at night is thick and the stars come out properly, best suited to campers who like space, hills on the horizon, and not much else getting in the way.
