Dogs welcome but keep them on leads near livestock. Rewards you with sweeping valley views and that quintessential Derbyshire charm that makes the uphill effort worthwhile.

Peak District Boundary Walk Stage 2

Tackles 15.6km of challenging Peak District moorland with steep climbs and descents over rough, often exposed terrain. Definitely not suitable for buggies or young children—this is proper hill walking requiring stamina and navigation skills. Dogs welcome but need to be fit and under close control near livestock. Rewards include dramatic gritstone edges, sweeping valley views, and that satisfying sense of tackling a genuine long-distance trail section across classic Dark Peak landscape.
