Penrhys Pilgrimage

Follows a historic pilgrimage path through the Rhondda Valley with moderate climbs over moorland and woodland tracks. The terrain includes uneven surfaces and some steep sections, making it challenging for buggies and tiring for very young children. Dogs welcome on leads, particularly near livestock. This spiritual route leads to the hilltop shrine of Our Lady of Penrhys, offering panoramic valley views and a glimpse into Wales' medieval pilgrimage heritage.

Taff Trail

Follows the River Taff for 88km from Cardiff Bay to Brecon Beacons, mostly flat traffic-free paths on old railway lines and canal towpaths. Perfect for families and buggies, particularly the southern sections. Dogs welcome throughout. The route offers riverside scenery, industrial heritage sites, and Cardiff's green corridors before reaching dramatic upland landscapes. Ideal for cycling too, with plenty of access points to tackle shorter sections.
