Severn Way (1) Source to Shrewsbury
Traces the River Severn for 116km from its upland source on Plynlimon through remote Mid Wales valleys to the historic market town of Shrewsbury. Terrain varies dramatically—steep moorland climbs at the start, then gentler riverside paths and farmland. Not suitable for buggies or young children due to length, elevation, and remoteness. Dogs welcome but livestock present. Delivers changing landscapes, solitude, and the satisfaction of following Britain's longest river from its birthplace.
