Ivanhoe Way
Follows a 35-mile historical trail from Ashby-de-la-Zouch to Melton Mowbray through quiet Leicestershire countryside. Mostly gentle farmland and woodland paths with occasional moderate climbs, though muddy stretches after rain make it challenging for buggies. Dogs welcome throughout. Best tackled in sections – each stage reveals medieval churches, castle ruins and landscapes that inspired Sir Walter Scott's novel. Proper walking boots essential for field edges and potentially overgrown sections.
