Chacewater Trail 3 - The Todpool, Poldice Valley, Twelveheads Loop

Meanders through historic mining valleys on mostly gentle terrain with a few steeper sections around the old Poldice Valley workings. The 3-mile loop takes in Todpool and Twelveheads, passing old mine buildings and woodland paths that can get muddy after rain. Suitable for older children with reasonable stamina, though narrow stiles and uneven ground make it tricky for buggies. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock. Worth it for the industrial heritage and peaceful valley views that tell Cornwall

Circles the historic mining village of Chacewater on mostly flat paths and quiet lanes, suitable for families and buggies with care on short road sections. Dogs welcome. Passes the iconic clock tower, old railway line, and chapel, giving a feel for this former mining hub's layout and character. Easy terrain makes it ideal for a gentle leg-stretch while exploring Chacewater's industrial heritage and village atmosphere.

Chacewater Trail 2 - The Agriculture, Conservation & Heritage Loop

Loops through rolling farmland and historic mining countryside with gentle to moderate inclines on clear paths and quiet lanes. Suitable for older children but not buggies due to stiles and uneven field sections. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock. Showcases Cornwall's agricultural heritage alongside remnants of its tin mining past, with interpretive points explaining the area's transition from mining to farming and ongoing conservation efforts around Chacewater.
