Chacewater Trail 3 - The Todpool, Poldice Valley, Twelveheads Loop

Winds through historic mining valleys with moderate climbs on mostly clear paths and quiet lanes. The route tackles a few steady inclines around Poldice Valley and Twelveheads but nothing too punishing. Suitable for older children who can manage 5+ miles, though uneven ground and stiles make it tricky for buggies. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock. Rewards walkers with glimpses of Cornwall's mining heritage, wooded valley sections, and peaceful countryside linking characterful villages.

Loops through historic Chacewater village on mostly flat, paved paths and quiet lanes with gentle undulations. Perfect for families with buggies and young children – largely pushchair-friendly with good surfaces throughout. Dogs welcome on leads through the settlement. Discover the village's mining heritage, Victorian architecture, and community features on this easy-going circular that works brilliantly as a quick orientation walk or gentle leg-stretch from nearby campsites.

Chacewater Trail 2 - The Agriculture, Conservation & Heritage Loop

Meanders through historic mining countryside on mostly flat to gentle terrain, ideal for families and buggies on firm paths. Dogs welcome to explore hedgerows and farmland edges. Showcases the area's agricultural heritage alongside remnants of Cornwall's mining past, with interpretation panels explaining how communities adapted after the mines closed. A surprisingly rich slice of local history without the climbs.
