East Mendip Way
Traces the gentler eastern edge of the Mendip Hills with moderate climbs and descents across farmland, woodland and limestone grassland. Exposed sections can be muddy after rain; sturdy footwear essential. Not suitable for buggies due to stiles and uneven paths, but older children who enjoy a proper hill walk will manage fine. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock. Rewards you with sweeping Somerset views and a real sense of traversing proper countryside without the crowds of western Mendip route
