Follows dramatic Jurassic Coast clifftops with steep ascents and descents around Abbotsbury Hill and The Fleet lagoon views. Not suitable for buggies; challenging for young children due to exposed cliff edges and significant elevation changes. Dogs welcome but keep on leads near livestock and cliff paths. Delivers stunning fossil-rich coastline panoramas, rare shingle beach formations at Chesil Beach, and World Heritage Site geology that makes every climb worthwhile.

South West Coast Path (Section 50: Ferrybridge to Lulworth Cove)

Follows dramatic Jurassic Coast clifftops with steep ascents and descents throughout, passing Durdle Door's iconic limestone arch and sweeping Weymouth Bay views. Challenging terrain unsuitable for buggies or young children due to sheer drops and uneven coastal paths. Dogs welcome on leads near cliff edges and livestock areas. Worth every climb for UNESCO World Heritage geology, secluded coves, and some of Dorset's most photographed natural landmarks.

South West Coast Path (Section 49: Isle of Portland Circuit)

Circles the dramatic limestone peninsula of Portland, mixing clifftop paths with harbour-side stretches and steep ascents around the iconic Bill lighthouse. Terrain varies from paved promenades to rocky coastal sections with several challenging climbs—not suitable for buggies or very young children due to exposed cliff edges and gradients. Dogs welcome on leads, particularly near nesting seabirds (March-July). Delivers spectacular views across Chesil Beach, Weymouth Bay, and Portland's quarried
