South West Coast Path (Section 20: Hayle to St Ives)
Hugs the dramatic Cornish coastline with moderate to steep climbs over headlands and sandy coves. Mostly clifftop paths with some beach sections – stunning views but exposed terrain makes it unsuitable for buggies and challenging for small children (consider stamina and cliff edges carefully). Dogs welcome on leads near livestock and during bird nesting season. The golden sweep of Porthmeor Beach and St Ives' artist-colony charm make this classic coast path segment absolutely worth the effort.
